The Ship: Some Wake
There are a plethora of plusses about living in Wandsworth, which in my opinion mainly revolve around eating and drinking. There is always somewhere calling your name, and one of those places is called The Ship.
This institution's raving fan base spans far and wide. It's so much more then just a local, but it's a bloody good local to have. I'm not just talking about a damn fine watering hole either; the Ship dishes up top notch food, too. Jump aboard!
Catering for a long lunch with girlfriends, date night, or of course, a sensational Sunday lunch, the Ship delivers in all respects. Generous starters are crowd pleasers, I recommend them all. The Ship's epic Sunday lunches will make you weak at the knees. So might their stab at the classics like burgers and fish & chips.
The Ship leaves a wake that is laughable when compared to some of its contemporaries, and it does so with panache and style. The music is a class act and the craic is mighty. See you there next Sunday.
